Dog Tales encourages reluctant readers to develop a love of reading and improve comprehension by providing specially trained therapy dogs that “listen” to the child read aloud. Dog Tales takes place 6 days a week during the school year and 3 days a week during the summer.

Science Project 101 helps children achieve science literacy gains. Many area children lack support at home to complete science projects. At the request of schools and parents our Librarians developed a program to address this need.
Helping to overcome summer learning loss, preschool and elementary age kids can continue to develop their learning potential with small group tutoring led by certified teachers. This literacy-based program promotes art, critical thinking, and teamwork through hands-on activities such as interactive games. Summer Reading and Learning builds excitement about reading by preparing children to start the new school year well fed, healthy, mentally active, and ready to learn.
Summer Learning is a six week program providing a safe, easily accessible learning environment enabling children to maintain and build their skills in reading, writing, science, and math. Instructed by two certified teachers and is tailored to each grade level.
