Socialize with your fellow clubbers and talk about Young Adult books in this meetup just for teens. All books are available in our digital library on the Hoopla app.
Teens in grades 6 – 12 can get creative with arts and crafts, learn a new hobby, or practice STEM concepts. Each Grab and Go Kit is designed to both educate and entertain, and contains all of the materials and instructions needed for a fun at-home activity. All items are free to keep, and nothing needs to be returned to the library.
Through a partnership with the Path to College Fellowship, teens in grades 9 – 12 can prepare for the SAT with an expert tutor covering math, reading, and writing. In the College Prep Workshops, they will learn everything to know about getting ready for college, including the application process, financial aid, test scores, and more. Programs are provided virtually through Google Meet.
Motivating students to excel, the Library’s small group, in-person tutoring inspires students to be successful in life. Teens receive free, in-person or virtual mentoring by certified teachers helping with homework and other school projects in Teen Source, second floor. The Library becomes an academic support site for all teens, in a safe environment where they develop life skills.
Teens and tweens can sharpen their technology and coding skills through STEM-based activities, like Sphero, SnapCircuits, littlebits, and more. Students can learn these vital science skills while socializing with their fellow teens.
People like you can also help us today with achieving this goal by getting involved with the events at the Library, giving new books to the Library, or by giving the Foundation charitable donations. Your help ensures that the Mandel Public Library will never cease becoming a better library for the community.
